Summary

Drill Pay is part of the total compensation available to Air National Guard and Reserve service members performing drilling and other training duties. A drill period is defined as four (4) hours. Drill Pay for an Air National Guard or Reserve Airman depends on the Airman's length of service and Air Force rank.

Eligibility

Regular Air Force active duty Service members do not receive drill pay but are compensated on a monthly basis with Basic Pay. See the Basic Pay fact sheet for the details.
