Drill Pay is part of the total compensation available to Air National Guard and Reserve service members performing drilling and other training duties. A drill period is defined as four (4) hours. Drill Pay for an Air National Guard or Reserve Airman depends on the Airman's length of service and Air Force rank.

Air Force retirees are not eligible for Drill Pay but may be eligible for Retirement Pay. See the Retired Pay fact sheet for additional details.
