Summary

The Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) Program provides financial assistance for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of an Airman and Guardian's professional and personal self-development goals. MilTA is authorized under U.S.C. 10, Section 2007, and implemented by  Department of Defense Instruction 1322.25, Voluntary Education Programs. All service members (officers, enlisted) on active duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve on active duty (pursuant to U.S. Code Title 10 or Title 32), are authorized to participate in the MilTA program.

Eligibility

Air National Guard Service members on state active duty are eligible for Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) with their respective state.

Benefit Highlights

State National Guard service members are eligible for tuition assistance; however, all states maintain different programs. Service members should contact their local state education office for tuition assistance information. Contact information for State Air Guard locations can be found on the individual state’s website or through the Air National Guard website.
